Daisy Yue

Daisy Yue is the Program Coordinator of Global Safety and Security in Emory University’s Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives.

Growing up in Atlanta, but with family ties in Hong Kong, Daisy had the privilege of experiencing the changing east-meets-west cultural landscape as well as leverage global opportunities. After graduating from international school in Hong Kong, Daisy earned her BA in Sociology from Emory College and MA in Sociology and Education with a focus on K-12 policies from Teachers College, Columbia University. With a commitment to providing equal and equitable educational opportunities, she has worked at the continuous improvement and accrediting company Cognia, formerly known as AdvancED and previously the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). Honing project coordination skills, collaboration with global stakeholders, improving processes, and managing internal multimedia production projects, she is a “professional generalist” with a love for learning. She also brings marketing and communications experience from the Emory School of Medicine, where she supported and coordinated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Daisy serves on the Mission Committee and Extension Sub-Committee at the National Leadership Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), in addition to being a member of the Emory chapter of ODK. In her free time, aside from keeping up with international news and global travel restrictions, she spends time with her three cats, S’mores, Cookie, and Duchess, learning and cooking new recipes, and exploring new locations to satisfy her sweet tooth.
